hasn’t the weather been glorious?
when the sun has his hat on london undergoes a beautiful transformation and we have been making the most of the stunning sunshine.
last week i paid a visit to tom’s terrace in somerset house – it’s a great spot to enjoy a few al fresco after-work drinks and to take in the views of the southbank.
the terrace is huge and the bar is located underneath a marquee with brightly coloured lights and loud music, which offers a modern contrast to neoclassical eighteenth century building.
we enjoyed a few bottles of chilled white wine and good conversation, but the bar food, think sharing plates, looked very yummy indeed.
the bar also offers an impressive cocktail menu with the classics on offer as well as more unusual limited edition cocktails too.
if you are looking for an impressive spot to while the hours away during these hot summer nights then tom’s terrace is a good place to start and it is open Monday – Sunday midday until late.
