yesterday i blogged about how i hoped another friend would get engaged in the near future, little did i know i would be toasting to a very special upcoming wedding, just a matter of hours later.

shortly after writing my last post i was greeted with the news that my best friend had become engaged. her boyfriend, sorry, fiancé, whisked her away for a romantic weekend in surrey and popped the question in the idyllic hotel after enjoying a michelin-starred meal. wow.

i could not contain my excitement.

not only are holly and john perfect for each other, but i have been lucky enough to witness their romance from the very start. i could not be happier for them and spent the day looking, quite frankly, manically insane grinning at everyone that passed me by.

upon their return i greeted the happy couple with a huge kiss and many, many squeals later we got down to the serious stuff – the ring. oh.my.goodness the boy did good.

he didn’t propose with just one diamond – there are three glittering bad boys set on a yellow gold band. it really is a gorgeous.

after a champagne toast to the happy couple, hols pulled me to one side and asked me to be a bridesmaid. I’m not going to lie, a few joyful tears may well have escaped from my eyes.
