2012 has been one jam-packed year, full of surprises, challenges and lots and lots of laughter. it started off in los angeles and ends in london with trips to san francisco, barbados, mammoth, saint tropez, la manga and 24 hours in new york in between.
i found it so hard to select a few pictures from the year- i have so many happy memories so i may have gone a little crazy with the snaps below.
january: the first month of the year was completely booze-free. i was being ever so hollywood and thanks to ‘dry jan’ i threw myself into exercise, exploring the great outdoors. weekly hikes at runyon canyon became the norm. who wouldn’t want to workout while looking at this view?
february - after 31 days without a glass of champagne or a cocktail i was in the mood to party, luckily a debauchery-filled trip to vegas was on the cards. great company, crazy nights and a spot of rugby spectating were the ingredients to a killer weekend – one i’ll never forget.
i also managed to squeeze in a spot of skiing in mammoth – the journey there proved slight traumatic as we nearly ran out of ‘gas’ en route in the middle of nowhere
i attended pre-oscar parties and made some new pals
and enjoyed a wet visit to san francisco
i ate my way through the best brunch and lunch venues in los angeles
april: another month brought more visitors out to los angeles. boon, cat and steph crossed the pond to come and see me and join in the fun.
off i went back to vegas for another very silly weekend
enjoyed bubbles at my favourite rooftop bar (high at hotel erwin)
which meant drunken picnics in hyde park
june: the weather might have been dreary but spirits were high and i enjoyed an amazing view of the jubilee procession
caught up with very old friendsand a few well known faces…
and shortly after my housemates got engaged
july: sought refuge from the wet weather in england with a well-timed trip to st tropez where we partied up a storm at nikki beach and stayed at white 1921.
august: london 2012 brought with it sport, pride and the country was struck down with olympic fever we were lucky enough to meet some of the heroes from the games on a random evening outsoaring temperatures made it easier to get into the festival spirit
december: flew by thanks to my birthday, work and christmas time
(more pics to follow)
2012 has been a cracker, but there have been a few downs as well as ups.
2013 is already shaping up nicely – weddings for two of my closest friends, hen parties, exciting trips and new ventures are ahead. watch. this. space.
happy new year xx
