Homemade Taco Seasoning

This homemade taco seasoning packs a punch of flavor for any taco or burrito dish. Use on beef, pork, or even chicken.

I remember how tacos were always a part of the weekly food rotation at summer camp. I never had them at home nor at restaurants where I'd usually go for a classic burrito. These tacos were not only hearty and different from burgers and fries, but also were a lot of fun to eat.

You can top a taco with beans, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, tomato salsa, and more. My favorite topping hands down is definitely guacamole. There is nothing as good as a taco with some flavorful seasoning topped off with some creamy avocado guacamole.

This recipe is for the seasoning mix only. It is best on ground beef and tastes really good on ground beef pork mixtures. The cooking directions are as simple as mixing it into a frying pan while cooking your meat. Be careful not to mix the spices in while the meat is steaming because it can cause the spices to rise up and make you sneeze.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

1 ground teaspoon of each of the following:
Paprika
Cayenne pepper
Chili powder
Oregano
Garlic powder
Black pepper

Instructions:
Mix in a bowl.
You can increase the size of the recipe and store it for later use in an airtight jar.
Use this homemade taco seasoning on ground meats for your next taco meal.
